Multicultural Program

 

The City of Calgary, Heart of the NE Community Resource Center and the Temple Community Association organized a multicultural programme on Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Temple Community Association..(more).

 

 

Program by South Asian Canadian Association

 

The South Asian Canadian Association (SACA) in association with the United Way of Calgary put their minds and savings accounts together and organized a New Year program. (more).

 

 

Stampede Parade

 

The NCSC youths took part in the Stampede Parade on 4th July 2008.  The parade was organized by the South Asian Canadian Association (SACA) in Calgary.  Please Click here to view the photos.

 

Mr Bharat Regmi, NCSC secretary, received an appreciation award from SACA for his valuable contribution to help organize the event.  Congratulation !!

 

Interaction Programmes

 

Issues on Non-Resident Nepalese (NRN) Canada.  An interaction program was organized to discuss the issues on Non-resident Nepalese (NRN) in Canada. The program was held at the Centre for Newcomers, Marlborough, Calgary on October 5, 2008 (more).

 

New Nepal:  Inclusion of various ethnic groups and minorities.  A nation prosper when its people prospers.  Now, there is a need to create a new innovative and strong engine to drive the nation to achieve its goal (more)

 

Helping Nepali and preserving Nepali culture.  Visiting Prof Mukunda Aryal, Tribhuwan University, Nepal and Mr Nabin Dangol (Engineer, Info-Nepal) talked on themes 'Preserving Nepali Culture' and  'Aba Palo Hamro:  Join hands for a new and better Nepal'.

 

Workshop

 

A half-day workshop on “An Aspect of Racism Seldom discussed- Internalized Racism for Nepalese Women” was held on Saturday 21st of February at the Centre for New Comers. Ten women, who were professionals working in their chosen field and others employed in areas not related to their qualification work, attended the workshop. The facilitator for the session was Rita Dhungel, a member of the Nepalese Community Society of Calgary (more).
