Dashain festival celebrated

On the eve of Vijaya Dashami 2068, NCSC organized a cultural program and Dashain Party with extreme joy and passion amidst a huge social gathering of Nepali community members and guests at Marlborough Community Hall on October 1, 2011. The participants enjoyed various cultural dances, songs and performances held by various individuals from the Nepali community and by fellow Bhutanese. President of Nepalese Community Society of Calgary Mr. Jagdish Chapagai welcomed the guests and participants with Dashain greetings. Vice-President of NCSC Mr. Bharat Regmi conveyed the vote of thanks to all those who helped to make the program a grand success. Ms Bibhu Ojha was the master of ceremony. During the occasion, various newcomers in the Nepalese community in Calgary were introduced. Different door prizes were given by Mr. Dorje Lama, Ms. Ambika Gautam, Mr. Naveen Subba, Bikaner Sweets, Fiji Meats.
