Nepali Tourism in Canada

Nepalese community society of Calgary (NCSC) in collaboration with Wycliffe Canada, on 27 February 2011, organized an unique program with a view to  promote Nepalese tourism in Canada. A Nepali model village with traditional decoration was established where about  50 Canadian mountain racers were welcomed in Nepali style of hospitality. The mountain racers who returned from trekking in the rocky mountain area were given warm welcome in the Nepali village with Nepali foods amidst an environment full of Nepali music. The Canadian participants were also taught Nepali language by the Nepali volunteers. Twenty individuals from Nepali community had volunteered for the program. Dr. Bet Man Singh Bhandari coordinated the part of Nepali community in the program. Mr. Derryl Friesen, Coordinator of the Wycliffe Canada had led the whole program.  (Comments)
