 Diversity Mela

On March 27th 2010, ­ volunteers from NCSC participated in the Diversity Mela organized by the Village Square Library.  NCSC volunteer team demonstrated some of Nepal's cultural and traditional pieces such as kukuri, utensils, attractive scenes and unique arts (provided by Kathmandu Travel). There were 10 countries including China, Philippine and Bangladesh that participated and demonstrated their traditional dance, unique costumes and art crafts. Parliament Member Devinder Shory also participated in the program and interacted with Nepalese youth volunteers and NCSC representatives. More than hundred visitors got information about Nepali history and culture. It was an informative and educational event.
